von Moeller Hof

This is Arras and me at the 2003 AWDF Championships in Charlotte, NC. He had just turned 3 years old a few months earlier. I had 2 year old twin boys at home, a supportive husband babysitting them, and a full time job to return to the next Monday. What an accomplishment this was! Arras was high IPO 1 and I could not have been happier!

My name is Chris Rasmussen. I was introduced to dobermans in 1991 by a neighbor of mine at the time, Tammy Marshall. I simply wanted a high-energy dog to go horse back riding with me, which didn't have a lot of hair that would dirty up the back of my car! What happend from that point is a whirl-wind. From my research, I knew that I wanted a breeder to health check everything they could, and a breeder who WORKED their breeding stock, so they knew what their temperament was. I was EXTREMELY lucky to run into such a high quality breeder my first time into dobermans. Brix was the first dog that I ever trained to do more than shake hands, and he took me all the way to the UDC Nationals in 1992. We competed in Schutzhund as a SchH I, and we received High Tracking. We also received the highest possible scoring on a ZTP (breed survey) as a V1A. I was in the clouds for weeks.

Brix was bred a total of 5 times. Two of those times were to my bitch, Farina v Bahnhof (Tara). Tara came to me from Tina Rendiero (now Tina Bloom). I trained her to a SchH I, CD. She produced 12 fantastic puppies, many pictures of which can be seen on my Litters page. Those pups were born in 2000 and 2001.

I believe in breeding completely health tested and titled dogs. I believe in researching pedigrees and knowing as much as possible about the health issues, ages at death and temperaments of dogs in the pedigree -- siblings and cousins as well as parents and grandparents.

I want to breed dobermans that are a) healthy b) have good working capabilities, c) are not so nuts that they can't be good house companions, and finally, d) are 'easy on the eyes'. (i.e., not neccessarilyAKC Championship conformation prospects, but certainly well structured and balanced.)

I invite you to look around and enjoy your visit. I am a proud member of the United Doberman Club (www.uniteddobermanclub.com) and the Working Dobermans of the Carolinas. (www.workingdobermansofthecarolinas.com)
